Day 1-3

Tokyo Japan

Arrive in the capital that evening for a quick meal at a local eatery. Choose from budget-friendly hotels or nice mid range hotels in the city center for easy transportation and attraction access. For a luxurious stay, opt for boutique hotels or upscale chains with great amenities. Rest up after that long flight and gear up for the exciting adventures in this vibrant city the next day… We know where to stay so that its easy for you to leave the hotel and start exploring. Depending if you want more time in the city we can customize your itinerary to stay longer before you head to the reason you came here for snow country.

Day 4-8

Nozawa Onsen

Nagano Japan

Board your Shinkansen train and prepare for an unforgettable journey through the breathtaking Japan Alps. As you settle into your seat, the train glides smoothly out of the bustling city, revealing panoramic views that will take your breath away. The Snow filled valleys, majestic mountains, and quaint villages flash by as you travel toward Nozawa Onsen. In just 1.5 hours, you'll arrive in this charming onsen village, renowned for its natural hot springs and rich skiing history. Nozawa Onsen, while gaining popularity among travelers since i first came here it still has old School charm and although Hokkaido might be more of a sure bet you still have a high chance of getting some major powder while enjoying free public onsen foot baths and just a cool little zone. The runs are fun and there is a good amount of area to explore and if you need a rest day you can always go look for those pesky snow monkeys. Options are very reasonable compared to USA that i never go to Tahoe anymore I have a nice range of accommodation to chose from but I always try to stay in a Japanese Ryokan to have a once in a lifetime experience.

Day 9-10 Depart

Tokyo Japan

Start your day in Tokyo by revisiting any shopping spots you may have missed on your arrival. Head to the bustling districts of Shibuya or Shinjuku, where you can explore everything from high-end fashion to unique local boutiques. Don't forget to check out the iconic Shibuya Crossing and snap a few photos.

After shopping, consider immersing yourself in the mesmerizing world of TeamLab. The digital art museum offers an immersive experience that's unlike anything else. With stunning interactive exhibits, it's an opportunity to engage with art in a dynamic way.

Alternatively, if you’re in the mood for a more traditional experience, head to Asakusa. Visit the historic Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo's oldest temple, and take a leisurely stroll along Nakamise Street. Here, you can shop for traditional snacks and souvenirs to bring back home. Don’t miss the chance to try some freshly made ningyo-yaki or melon bread.

Whichever path you choose, make sure to savor every moment. Tokyo has so much to offer, and this day will be the perfect way to cap off your trip!

Things to consider you can easily visit Kanazawa, a fantastic city with a mini Kyoto feel, on the same train line before or after snowboarding. Alternatively, consider adding Tokyo Disneyland to your trip, but keep in mind it's pretty cold in winter, especially at DisneySea. Its really up to you and your timeline. I would recommend at least three night in Nozawa to enjoy the snow.

there’s no better feeling than coming home after a long journey; and there’s no better feeling than leaving home to start another one.
